Game changer !

The upgrade kit was worth every penny, the end result an absolutely game changing device the Tempest, the best vape experience I have had to date, smooth cool vapour, easy air regulation, excellent visual indicator, quick reload. The engineering is top notch and at a fair price for a design classic built to last and full on inovation. A 5 ⭐ product from a 5 ⭐ company.

Hits like a champ

I missed out on the complete tempest release but managed to get an upgrade kit for my revolve 2. My revolve and induction heater has retired all of my other vapes, and I've just stopped looking for new vapes as a result. For context I have many dynavaps, simrell stems, storz and bickel vapes, RBT splinters, a tinymight and some desktop vapes. All of them are in the shed.

It was only when I lost my revolve (albeit briefly) that I went on the Mad Heaters website and saw the tempest. Gutted I'd missed out I realised after that I can upgrade my beloved revolve 2 stem.

I already have a ispire wand induction heater and it works well with the tempest. I can extract a whole bowl in one if you let the heater time out as per the instructions. Or I can get two more flavourful hits if I listen to the 'clicks' and heat the bowl twice.

As was the case with my last order, MH chucked in loads of freebies which is really appreciated. Thank you mate, I absolutely love your products, I'm hoping I'm on a mailing list now so I don't miss out on the next release from MH.

Woah Nelly.

Fun, easy to use, came pretty quick, leather sleeve is nice plus it kicks like a horse! All in all a fantastic way to upgrade my revolve v.2. Would get again.

Best upgrade ever

I bought a factory second when they were still available and these guys hooked me up! I saw that they had upgrade kits left and decided to grab one. Glad I did! I've had it 2 weeks and have been able to.put it through some cleanings and heavy use. It's put my venty to shame with the wand at 500. Thanks Balint for the excellent customer service!

Awesome Upgrade

I already have a Reload so was pleased to see the option to upgrade a few parts to make a Tempest and reuse some parts.

The possibilities with the different balls are great, customisable airflow on the head and stem allows different setups too - I currently switch between SiC and stainless steel depending on mood. Well made and is a great part of the collection.

If you have a wand I would recommend the adaptor and stand, this combo allows a very repeatable setup with lots of customisation.

Top tier

What else can be said that hasn't already been covered. The Tempest is the Pinnacle of portable vapes in terms of its function and personalization. It has been a real treat to use and I look forward to experimenting more to see the different types of experiences I can get. I can't recommend it enough!

Revolve Upgrade Kit, Tempest budget option for Revolve owners

A nice budget option for earlier Revolve version owners, thanks MH for caring for us.
Have already written a review for the Tempest Kit and other references, so I'll not repeat myself here.

The new titanium sleeve is useful for my Tempest Head, Universal Stem Adapter Anvil and HyperDyn tip.
Between all Mad Heaters ti sleeve versions, this ti sleeve design is my favorite.
With Revolve V1V2, my favorite option is always the wood or quartz sleeves, but the Heatshield on the V3 changes that.
With Wand use, the ti sleeve stays comfortable near the airflow hole and produces a bit less reclaim than the quartz.
I also like the bowl locking tabs function on the titanium sleeve, useful when the Bowl O-rings get older.

Torch users need the wood sleeve for consecutive heating, longer sessions, mainly for a comfortable hand position, when slowly spinning the device.
However, if you just go for one quick bowl then a break, the ti sleeve will be enough and handle the heat.
Titanium cools quickly, a two minutes cooling time, with the Tempest Cap separate from the rest, is also very effective.

For users new to the Tempest head, a closed airflow stem or a WPA and a j-hook will give a vapor feedback for learning how the heater functions.

Looks great with Revolve V2 parts, and performance is the same as the full Tempest, the Helix airflow tube has slightly more airflow than the DRC tube though.
In fact, the V2 DRC airflow tube offers more airflow settings than the Tempest/Revolve V3 Helix tube.
The V2 Cooling Unit also has the Reclaim Screen option, a nice feature for stem milk cleaning lovers.
Not a fan of the looks with Revolve V1 Cooling Unit and Mouthpiece assembly, but it still works.

To fit the MH plastic tube (for cleaning), the Heatshield has to be taken off.
The gray color O-ring that holds the Heatshield in place is (as the others) in Vitton/FKM and ISO resistant.
I put the airflow tube without Mp, Cooling unit, stem without Heatshield and bowl still assembled together in the Revolve plastic tube with some Iso, then a full disassembly, warm water dish soap rinse and dry
I prefer to not soak in ISO the Tempest Cap, as it needs to be dry quickly after getting wet, VI coil and click discs could potentially flash rusting otherwise.

The Leather case is included. It's not a high end vegetable tanning leather, but it's thick enough for handling and storing the burning hot Tempest heater and does it's functions well.
The upper part of the case can be used as a tweezer/finger protection for unscrewing the hot Cap and letting it cool down.

The Leather case comes with a Stainless Steel multi-tool placed between the stitches.
It's not a Reload, but it is useful for debowling a tight packed load, setting the Bowl screen and the flat side act has a screwdriver for the Ball Retaining screen and the VI screw.
MH did an agile and temp indicator equipped Thermal Accumulator version.
The convection performance makes this heater a nice competitor/substitute/option to desktop ball injector/Tinymight at same dosage.
Conduction/Hybrid analog devices aren't in competition with the Tempest heater, as they just only share the tip format.

Tempest stem is a Revolve V3, here the compatibility chart:
First, the version of Mouthpiece and Airflow tube has to be paired together V1 MP + V1 Airflow tube V2+V2 V3+V3

-V3 Cooling unit only accept V3 and V2 Mouthpiece and Airflow tube
-V2 Cooling unit only accept V2 and V3
-V1 Cooling unit only accept V1 and V2

Secondary Cooling Unit needs a V2 or a V3 airflow tube
V2 Reclaim Screen Filter can clip and stay in place only into the V2 Cooling unit
All Tempest/Revolve sleeves fits all Cooling unit versions

Tempest length is 122mm the same as a Anvil integrated stem with XL mouthpiece.
Tempest largest diameter is 14mm at the widest part of the Heatshield (like a Dyna Vong).
Tempest heater head and a max length of 62mm (M Dyna) stem fit in XL Dyna case.
Tempest heater total length is 47mm, and 42mm when installed to a stem

Tempest Cap is 34mm length and 11g weight with 2.5mm zirconia balls
Tempest Cap is 12mm diameter at the Induction sleeve and 13.5mm at the widest

Tempest Bowl is 22mm length and 2.5g weight and has 8x 0.8mm side holes
Tempest Bowl is 11mm deep at full bowl and 10mm wide on the inside
There is about 2.5mm of space between the top of the Bowl and the Ball Retaining screen inside the Cap.

Sleeve length: 54.2mm ;air hole start at 11mm from the short side of the sleeve, CU airflow hole is 3mm ø
