Tempest 2 - Wood Sleeve (Factory Second)

Perfect quality. It gives the Tempest a totally different feel, and I love every bit of it. Thank you MAD Heaters!

Honestly, I can't see a fault in this "second" the stabilised wood is absolutely beautiful, helps to keep the device cool to the touch, and adds a bit more class (if thats even possible)

It doesn’t only looks absolutely stunning it also feels more natural and fits perfectly to the Cuboo Heater.

Got a plain wood sleeve factory 2nd and it worked really well so ordered another green one. It keeps the Tempest 2 cooler in your hand and every sleeve has a unique variation of wood grain and color that makes them really interesting to look at and use.

Lovely burl figuring and colour. Looks like marble. Very smooth to the touch due to the stabilized wood. Perfect fit. The Racing green sleeve is smart, but the Maple Burl gives depth and interest. Nothing glaringly '2nd' noticeable, which presumably says quality control is up to speed and the '1sts' will be super top notch - I don't see any point going over it with a magnifying glass to try find the blemish, ignorance is bliss 😁

I picked up the compete set of Mad Heaters wooden sleeves for the Tempest 2 listed as factory seconds, and honestly, you’d never know. The finish is excellent, Any cosmetic imperfections are either incredibly minor or completely invisible in normal use. They add great heat insulation, improve grip, and look fantastic on the Tempest 2. Absolute bargain for the price — Mad Heaters’ craftsmanship really shows, even on their seconds. I Luv em!!!! Highly recommended.

I'm not sure where the factory defect is. It's a lovely piece of kit - I think the wood makes it look really slick and it's cooler if you're back to backing! Merry Christmas all.

So glad I added the wood sleeve, not only does it stay cool to the touch after countless bowls, it looks amazing! Hard to find any defects with the "seconds" quality.

has some natural scuffs around the airhole, but that gives it character. really love this body!

Wow, Works great and is very hard to tell its a 2nd. The only thing I can see is the hole in the center is slightly off center but looks great on the Tempest 2 and is impossible to tell anything is wrong with the stem once its installed and it works a treat and allows for longer sessions as doesn't heat up as quick as the metal sleeves usually installed on the Tempest 2s. Looks the part too. Top quality even on 2nds. Very impressed and recommend anyone that has a Tempest 2 should definitely invest in a wooden Sleeve and if you dont have a Tempest V2 grab one and a wooden sleeve you'll be happy you did.

Went for a dark factory seconds wood sleeve for my black tempest. One or two imperfections, but they’re barely perceptible. Does nothing for the functionality of the device apart from offering less heat after multiple heat ups. The aluminium shield doesn’t really get that hot IMO, so wood isn’t a necessity. Above all, the wood sleeve does look beautiful on the device and genuinely enhances its artisan aesthetic. Also lovely to hold in the hand.

I got the factory second which looks great still! Couldn’t be happier with another option instead of going metal. Like it paired with my Aqua color

I purchased what was meant to be a 'factory second', and I can't see any faults whatsoever. The same can be said with my 'factory second' Revolve and Reload v1's.

I love the wood sleeve on my stick, it stays cool and it is nice to feel something natural while vaping up my greens

I received two colors, green and natural, and both are in excellent condition, if I may say so. No scratches, just a slight patina—in short, nothing that bothers me. Very happy with this first purchase from the Mad Heaters website.

Why call it 2nd? Nice and lightweight, doesn't get hot at all, I use it with SS mouthpiece at home, and just pop it in the WPA, no worry about scratching the Ti, and the wood is easy to handle

Wood Sleeve (V2) (Factory Second)

Buyer beware: I was sent a completely non-functional sleeve, it would not fit on the tempest. A replacement was promised, but after several months/multiple orders, I still don't have a functional sleeve.

Real bummer, in the past their factory 2nd stuff has been functional. No longer the case.

Amazing product. No idea why its a factory second but im not complaining as I snagged this for £20. I love being a MadHeaters customer, got two T1s and a T2 that I purchased all second hand, so whenever I get a chance to buy from MH I do.

I'm preferring the look of this to the metal one. Nice to switch it up.
I really had to look closely to see why it was a factory second. There's an tiny imperfection in the wood, but you'd really have to be searching for it to notice. No regrets about going for the factory second.

I honestly have no idea why mine was regarded as a factory second, it is blemish free to my eyes and the pattern / colour is gorgeous. The fact that MH maintain such a high level of standard even for accessories makes me happy to support them over everyone else
